Domains can be complex especially when dealing with a previous registrant or hosting provider. Don’t worry, we’re here to make this process easy for you so you don’t lose any uptime from your live site.

What We Manage

When WebEaze manages your domain, we can:

  • Register new domains on your behalf through trusted registrars (like Namecheap, or Google Domains)
  • Connect your domain to your site and set up DNS records
  • Handle renewals for domains we register or transfer in
  • Set up domain-level security like SSL certificates
  • Support forwarding or redirects if you’re switching websites or domains

We’ll also notify you via email if anything need attention, like an upcoming expiration or DNS update.

What You Control

  • You always own your domain whether it’s registered by you or through us.
  • You can keep it at your current registrar (like GoDaddy, Squarespace, etc.); we’ll just need access to point it to your new site.
  • You can transfer it to us, but that’s optional. Many clients choose to let us handle everything for simplicity.
  • You may transfer it out later on if you change providers or want to take control back.

What We Can’t Control

  • Domains recently purchased or transferred. ICANN (the global domain authority) enforces a 60-day lock period after a domain is newly registered or transferred. During this window, the domain cannot be transferred to another provider. This is out of our hands, and applies globally to all registrars.
  • Third-party registrar policies, billing issues, or account access will need to be handled by you, if you keep the domain in your name.
  • Custom email setups are handled by you unless specifically included in your package. We’re not able to handle expired domains not registered through us; the registrar has final control.

Want to Transfer a Domain to WebEaze?

We’re happy to manage your domain for you. Please follow these steps regarding domain transfers.

Please Note: Domains less than 60 days old (either from registration or transfer) cannot be moved, due to ICANN’s global policy. You can still connect the domain to your site but the transfer will need to wait until that period passes. It is not WebEaze’s responsibility to notify clients of this beforehand, as we typically handle the entire website setup and domain process for our clients.
